Kanchana Sthanumurthy

Kanchana (she/her/ella) joined the Housing and Consumer Justice program in the summer of 2026. Before joining LAJC, Kanchana worked at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) where she focused on donor engagement, legal counsel, and digital inclusion programming. Kanchana attended law school at George Mason University, where she served on the Civil Rights Law Journal and participated in the Poverty Law and Immigration Law clinics. Kanchana has a Masters in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, Kanchana enjoys hiking, reading, and attempting to crochet.
