A nationally recognized civic leader and advocate, Giancarla was invited to the White House in 2016 to share her story as a DACA recipient. She also serves on the Board of The Dream Project, where she supports educational opportunity for immigrant and first-generation students. Her leadership and personal story have been featured in the Virginia Museum of History & Culture’s We the People: 250 Years of U.S. History exhibition, highlighting the experiences and contributions of communities that have helped shape the Commonwealth.
