Boris Ozuna
Boris graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a BA in Peacebuilding and Development, and an MA in Restorative Justice. His experience in organizing includes building multisector coalitions in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, VA, for deportation defense, community safety, and mutual aid. He also organized to reduce and eliminate mass incarceration by joining efforts to stop new jail constructions and educate the general public about the connections of immigration detention, mass incarceration and democracy. In the past, Ozuna has also been an adjunct instructor of conflict transformation, English/Spanish interpreter, and issue-centered and political campaign organizer. He enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking, and doing Aikido, a Japanese martial art of self-defense.
