Marisa Faria

Marisa joined LAJC as a Senior Programs & Grants Accountant in the Fall of 2025. Prior to joining LAJC, she held grants and operations management roles at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Urban Institute, and Teach for America. She brings over 15 years of experience spanning the full grants lifecycle (pre-award to closeout). In addition to her grants management work, Marisa has led budgeting, financial analysis, and project management efforts across a range of mission-driven organizations.

She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Education Policy from The George Washington University.

Marisa is excited to join LAJC and contribute her skills to advancing its mission. She is deeply committed to lifelong learning and supporting organizations that drive social impact. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
