Juliana Sierra Bedoya
Juliana Sierra Bedoya joined LAJC in September 2025 as the Office Manager and Paralegal for the Hampton Roads-Norfolk office. A first-generation immigrant, Juliana was born in Medellin, Colombia and immigrated to the United States at the age of 3. She was raised in Chapel Hill-Carrboro, North Carolina, and graduated from Elon University in 2016. Upon graduation she worked as an AmeriCorps service member in Washington, D.C., and as a Legal Assistant at the DC Tenants Rights Firm. In 2018 she enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a Paralegal for the Navy Jag Corps in Yokosuka, Japan and San Diego, California for Seven Years. Throughout her time in the Navy, she served as the primary Court Reporter and Judicial Law clerk for the Judiciary Circuit in the Western Pacific, as well as a Senior Paralegal in the Southwestern region. Juliana brings a decade of Public and Legal service experience from various platforms, and a strong heart for Human Rights advocacy, and Legal justice. She is excited to be transitioning back into civilian life and continuing her work in Public Service by joining the LAJC team and embracing their mission to bring justice for all.
Juliana earned her A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Roger Williams University; her B.A. in International Studies from Elon University; and is finishing her M.S. in International Relations and Human Rights from Liberty University.
Juliana lives in Norfolk, VA with her two fur babies, her miniature dachshund named Theodore, and miniature schnauzer named Lola.
