Students
UVA undergraduate Students – We staff our volunteer opportunities for UVA undergraduate students through Madison House. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact Madison House directly.
UVA Law Students – We offer several opportunities for law students to volunteer their time and gain experience working side-by-side with our attorneys.
- Summer Law Internship Program – We offer an unpaid 10-week/400-hour summer law internship program. Interns who can identify private funding for their time are encouraged to apply, and we offer assistance with applications. We also accept applications for individuals seeking early decision on a rolling basis. To apply, please submit a cover letter indicating which Legal Aid Justice Center Program is most appealing to you, a resume, and a brief writing sample.
- School year and winter break opportunities – We partner with the UVA Law School’s Pro Bono Program to match UVA volunteer law students with volunteer projects. For more information about these opportunities, please log on to the UVA Law School’s GoodWorks page.
Legal Professionals
Virginia attorneys who wish to accept pro bono case referrals are encouraged to register at JusticeServer.org. Complete information is available on our Pro Bono Page.
Community Members
The Legal Aid Justice Center values community support. Our ability to provide quality legal representation depends on generous donations of time and money. In order to use these precious resources in the most effective way possible, we are only able to accept a limited number of volunteers for which we have the infrastructure and staff supervision to support. To inquire about current volunteer opportunities, please email us at info@justice4all.org with a message stating your interest and abilities.
