Individuals who lived at Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority properties between June 1, 2014, and September 30, 2018, are entitled to reimbursement for excess utility charges under a recent class action settlement. How much each individual is entitled to recover depends on how long they lived at HRHA during the relevant time period and how much they were charged in excess utilities.
If you are a class member and believe HRHA has incorrectly calculated your reimbursement, you have 3 weeks from the date HRHA mails your check to initiate a dispute. You may still be able to initiate a dispute outside of the 3 week window if the delay is through no fault of your own. Disputes may be initiated with Legal Aid Justice Center by calling (844) 415-1222. Please provide us with your name, address, email address, amount received from HRHA in reimbursements, if you were told a different amount from a previous notice, and why you think the amount you received is incorrect. Someone from our office will reach back out to you for further information.
