The vast majority of Legal Aid clients are people who struggle to keep their families afloat and who encounter complex legal barriers, often through no fault of their own. These families find themselves without the opportunity to receive a fair shake in court.The Campaign for Legal Aid is hosting The 2018 Fresh Start Breakfast, a fundraiser held at The University of Richmond’s Jepson Alumni Center on October 25th to showcase how we can provide access to justice here in Virginia. At the Fresh Start Breakfast, we will hear clients and attorneys of Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and Legal Aid Justice Center share how each helps people overcome barriers in the justice system, providing greater opportunities for individuals and families trying to navigate a broken justice system.

Time: Doors open at 7:30, Breakfast is from 8-9 a.m.

Invitees asked to join their friend’s tables are giving not just their time but also donate in support of both organizations, providing resources to give families a chance for justice. Due to the generosity of our sponsors, every dollar given at the Fresh Start Breakfast will go directly to legal aid programs at both Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and Legal Aid Justice Center
