Antes de incorporarse al LAJC, Zhue ejerci\u00f3 el derecho de familia en un bufete privado de Richmond. Zhue se licenci\u00f3 en el College of William &amp; Mary y se doctor\u00f3 en Derecho en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Richmond, donde recibi\u00f3 el Premio a la Excelencia en Diversidad, Equidad e Inclusi\u00f3n; el Premio a la Certificaci\u00f3n Pro Bono; y el Premio de la Secci\u00f3n de Abogados J\u00f3venes del Colegio de Abogados de Richmond. Durante sus estudios de Derecho, Zhue particip\u00f3 activamente en casos pro bono y en el liderazgo estudiantil, y fue becaria de verano en el Programa de Justicia para Inmigrantes del LAJC.
