Lucha por la justicia social y econ\u00f3mica porque todo el mundo merece tener acceso a buenos salarios, asistencia sanitaria, educaci\u00f3n, vivienda y un trato justo. <\/p>\n\n<p>En 2007, debido a su condici\u00f3n de inmigrante (Estatus de Protecci\u00f3n Temporal, TPS), no pudo pagar la matr\u00edcula estatal en el Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC). Recurri\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n ante la universidad y, al mismo tiempo, ante el Consejo Estatal de Educaci\u00f3n Superior de Virginia (SCHEV). Tras meses de duro trabajo, el SCHEV dictamin\u00f3 que todos los estudiantes acogidos al TPS pod\u00edan pagar la matr\u00edcula estatal en todos los colegios comunitarios y universidades estatales de Virginia. Su caso allan\u00f3 el camino para que los beneficiarios de la Acci\u00f3n Diferida para los Llegados en la Infancia (DACA) pudieran pagar tambi\u00e9n la matr\u00edcula estatal.   <\/p>\n\n<p>En su tiempo libre, le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos, asistir a eventos musicales en directo y ver deportes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ernesto ha trabajado en el movimiento obrero y en organizaciones sin \u00e1nimo de lucro durante los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os.
