En su funci\u00f3n, Amber proporciona asesoramiento jur\u00eddico sobre cuestiones educativas, representa a j\u00f3venes y familias en procedimientos escolares, administrativos y judiciales, y aboga por pol\u00edticas y leyes que protejan y capaciten a los j\u00f3venes. Tambi\u00e9n participa en la abogac\u00eda del movimiento, la educaci\u00f3n comunitaria y otras formas de defensa para lograr una reforma sist\u00e9mica, y es copresidenta del Grupo de Trabajo sobre Derecho Educativo de Virginia.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Antes de unirse al Centro de Justicia de Asistencia Jur\u00eddica, Amber fue abogada en Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA), donde represent\u00f3 a personas en casos de educaci\u00f3n, derechos civiles, LGBTQ+ y tutela. Es licenciada por la Facultad de Derecho de Vanderbilt, donde fue Becaria Garrison de Justicia Social para la promoci\u00f3n de 2020 y recibi\u00f3 el Premio Regional de Inter\u00e9s P\u00fablico Equal Justice Works. Como estudiante de Derecho, Amber trabaj\u00f3 como asistente jur\u00eddica en el Proyecto de Derechos Civiles de Texas, el Centro Jur\u00eddico contra la Pobreza del Sur y la ACLU de Tennessee. Antes de estudiar Derecho, Amber trabaj\u00f3 con organizaciones sin \u00e1nimo de lucro dedicadas a los derechos reproductivos, la salud y la justicia, centr\u00e1ndose en la pol\u00edtica, la educaci\u00f3n y la divulgaci\u00f3n comunitaria.
