En 2018, empez\u00f3 a aprovechar su experiencia para elaborar s\u00f3lidos casos de defensa en casos de expulsi\u00f3n y abogar por sus vecinos que se enfrentaban a la deportaci\u00f3n, mientras trabajaba dentro del modelo de representaci\u00f3n universal estatal Equity Corps de Oreg\u00f3n y como representante plenamente acreditada por el Departamento de Justicia. Se licenci\u00f3 magna cum laude en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Elon, donde tuvo la oportunidad de hacer pr\u00e1cticas en el Laboratorio de Impacto de la Inmigraci\u00f3n del Centro Amica, en el proyecto Caminos de Inmigraci\u00f3n para V\u00edctimas de Legal Aid of North Carolina y en Al Otro Lado, y donde organiz\u00f3 el primer taller de asilo defensivo pro se en la Cl\u00ednica de Derecho Humanitario de Inmigraci\u00f3n de Elon.
