Originaria de Bolivia, ha vivido la mayor parte de su vida en el norte de Virginia. Durante su carrera universitaria en la Universidad George Mason, fue presidenta externa de Mason DREAMers, una organizaci\u00f3n estudiantil que sigue fomentando un entorno m\u00e1s integrador para los estudiantes indocumentados a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n y la defensa. Desde entonces, ha trabajado en las escuelas p\u00fablicas de la ciudad de Manassas y en el Instituto de Educaci\u00f3n Internacional, lo que le ha permitido seguir trabajando con y para personas de diversos or\u00edgenes.
